Economic Potentials of the Services Industry in the Region of Stuttgart

The aim of this project is to get an up-to-date overview over different sectors in the services industry. The following sectors have been analyzed:

• financial sector services
• consulting services
• media / IT
• technical services
• health care.

Relevant information has been collected through guided interviews in 41 selected companies in the respective sectors. These guided interviews encompassed questions concerning:

• conditions regarding location
• skilled personnel
• innovations and networks
• internationalization
• growth prospects.

Information obtained through these interviews has been enriched with sector-specific data from the official statistics.
