Dr. Elena Biewen

Elena Biewen joined the IAW as a research associate in January 2006.

In 1999 she graduated in russian and german language from the University of Petrosawodsk (Russia).

In 2005 she graduated in economics from the University of Tübingen majoring in quantitative methods. She completed her PhD thesis on "Schätzung linearer Panelmodelle mit anonymisierten Betriebs- und Unternehmensdaten" under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Gerd Ronning and Prof. Dr. Joachim Grammig in June 2010.

Her current research focus is on the evaluation of actual anonymous micro data sets for econometric analysis.

On June 30, 2010 she left the IAW and joined the Research Centre of the Deutsche Bundesbank, Frankfurt am Main.
