René Kalweit

Short CV
Master of Science, studied Economics and Finance (MSc) as well as International Economics and American Studies (BSc) at the Ebehard-Karls Universität Tübingen and the Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá (Colombia). During his studies, his focus has lied on Econometrics, Public Economics, Development Economics, English und Spanish. The topic of his Master thesis is “Consequences of the German bequest taxation act – Evidence from administrative data”.
Since March 2019, he is Research Fellow at IAW. Nowadays, his focus lies on the areas of quantitative Labor Economics and International Economics. Currently, he is evaluating the impacts of the German minimum wage, the Effects of International Trade on the Labor Markets as well as International Migration.
