Employment Effects of Environmental Protection in Baden-Württemberg

The research project will estimate the effects on employment caused by environmental protection in Baden-Württemberg. The difficulty is that one can find eco-policy induced employment in nearly all industries – thus, a specific employment estimation must be done for each single business sector.

The lack of a current Baden-Württemberg input-output table excludes the usage of demand-based estimation approaches. Therefore, the study is based on a "supply-side approach" that uses some hard empirical data but mainly soft survey data.
