Master of Science, has been working as a research associate at the IAW since July 2022. From 2015 to 2018, he studied International Economics B.Sc. at the University of Tübingen. He then completed his master's degree at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg with a thesis on the role of changes in individual characteristics and household types for the income distribution of women in Germany. In parallel, Jan Simon Wiemann worked as a student assistant at the Institute for Employment Research in the Minimum Wage Working Group between 2019 and 2022. Since July 2022, Jan Simon Wiemann is doing his PhD at the University of Tübingen and is supervised by Prof. Dr. Bernhard Boockmann and Prof. Dr. Martin Biewen.

He is currently working on the project to evaluate the Act to Promote Pay Transparency between Women and Men.
