René Kalweit

Short CV

Master of Science, studied Economics and Finance (MSc) as well as International Economics and American Studies (BSc) at the Ebehard-Karls Universität Tübingen and the Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá (Colombia). During his studies, his focus has lied on Econometrics, Public Economics.. The topic of his Master thesis is “Consequences of the German bequest taxation act – Evidence from administrative data”.

From March 2019 to December 2023, he was a research associate at the IAW. His research focused primarily on empirical labor market economics and migration research. Most recently, he focused in particular on the evaluation of the minimum wage, precarious workers and the determinants of migration.
