Accompanying Evaluation of Job-Related Language Courses (Job-BSK)
On behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS), the Institute for Applied Economic Research (IAW) and the Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS) are evaluating the implementation and effectiveness of the Job-Related Language Courses (Job-BSK), introduced in early 2024. These courses aim to facilitate the labour market integration of people with German as a second language and to stabilise existing employment relationships through targeted, workplace-specific language training. The evaluation focuses on the extent to which the courses support job placement, recruitment and continued employment, as well as on identifying key success factors and barriers to implementation.
