Economic forecast for Baden-Württemberg for the third quarter of 2026: Signs of growth remain fragile.

Whilst the economy in Baden-Württemberg contracted in 2024 and 2025, positive growth of more than 2 per cent is forecast for 2026. This figure is higher than the current forecasts for Germany as a whole and would also represent significant economic expansion when viewed over the long term. However, economic researchers at the IAW and the University of Hohenheim emphasise that the forecast must be interpreted with caution.

The IAW and the University of Hohenheim produce the GDP forecast for Baden-Württemberg four times a year. The project is funded by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs, Skilled Trades and Tourism.
