Accompanying evaluation of the support programme ‘Promotion of support services for trainees' accommodation (dual training) – Support for trainee accommodation’ and empirical research on the accommodation of dual trainees in Baden-Württemberg
The Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism of Baden-Württemberg has created the programme “Förderung von Betreuungsangeboten an Auszubildendenwohnstätten (Duale Ausbildung) – Betreuung Azubi-Wohnen” to support and accompany dual vocational trainees who live permanently or temporarily in residential facilities, as well as young people preparing for dual vocational training. The focus is on the work of „Lotsinnen und Lotsen“ (mentors) who are available as contact persons in order to support the commencement, continuation and successful completion of dual vocational training.
The accompanying evaluation of the funding program and empirical research on the housing of dual vocational trainees in Baden-Württemberg aim to gain insights into the implementation and effectiveness of the program, as well as to generate information about the largely unknown housing situations of dual vocational trainees. The accompanying evaluation is based on a study design that combines qualitative and quantitative methods in an implementation and impact analysis. In addition, a cost-effectiveness analysis and a legal assessment of the funding program will be conducted.
